Holding entries: direct, teardrop, and parallel.
Holding entries are part of IFR Suite. The exercise is the geometry of the hold: direct when you can join the inbound course with little maneuvering, teardrop when you need an outbound leg on the protected side, and parallel when you track outbound before turning back onto that side.
You work from your heading and from where you are relative to the inbound course. It is procedure practice, alongside departures, traffic patterns, approaches, intercepts, and DME arcs. It is not a radio clearance to copy, and it is not for use in a real aircraft.
The session is in the current app on the App Store and Google Play.
