How to practice with IFR Suite.

IFR Suite is a procedure trainer for instrument flight. Use it to build a clear picture of departures, traffic patterns, approaches, holdings, intercepts, and DME arcs.

What it is

A procedure trainer, not a full simulator

IFR Suite focuses on the mental map of an IFR procedure: visualization, in-flight math, procedural proficiency, and situational awareness. It does not ask you to set up a conventional flight simulator.

Who it is for

Students, flight schools, instrument pilots refreshing their skills, pilots preparing for a checkride, and anyone who wants deliberate IFR practice.

What you need

A phone or a tablet. No extra hardware, no desktop simulator, and no other software.

The procedures

Departures, traffic patterns, approaches, holdings, intercepts, and DME arcs, at more than 9,800 real airports and navaids.

How a session works

Pick the procedure you want to reinforce and run a short, focused session. The exercises are written and reviewed by flight instructors and instrument pilots.

At your own pace

Sessions are meant to be short. Use them when you want to see a procedure again, not only in a long block of study.

The cockpit

Glass or round gauges

Practice on a glass cockpit or on round gauges. Both follow familiar instrument layouts. The instruments themselves stay in English, as is common in IFR.

The session panel

The session panel follows the language you choose in the app. English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, Simplified Chinese, German, and Japanese are available. Portuguese, French, Chinese, German, and Japanese are still in beta.

Plans

Free, Pro, and the one-time plan

The free plan is limited to one device. Pro is a subscription you manage in the App Store or Google Play. The one-time plan is the Forever option on the pricing page. Prices are in USD.

Flight schools

Schools use the flight school portal for cohorts and instructor-led programs. Ask for a demo from the contact page.

A purchase that does not appear

Restore the purchase from the same Apple or Google account you used to buy it. If it still does not show, write to us from the contact page.

What it is not

Not for a real flight

Do not use IFR Suite while flying, and do not use it for navigation, an approach, or any operational decision. It is a training tool, not a source of charts or clearances.

Not loggable time

Time in IFR Suite is not flight time, instrument time, or credit toward a certificate, a rating, or currency. For regulatory credit, train on an approved device with a certificated instructor.

A supplement to instruction

It supports dual instruction and official publications. It does not replace them.
